This vineyard is located in the Kelseyville Bench AVA, a prime-growing appellation in Lake County, California. The 7± acres of old vine zinfandel have vines that date back to 1901. The vineyard produces approximately 3 tons per acre, has drip irrigation, and has been bottled as a single vineyard wine under the Steele label for 25 years. There are 13± acres of Cabernet Sauvignon to be planted spring 2018 along with installation of drip irrigation and an additional 3± acres are available that could be cleared and planted. There is a 903± square foot house on the property that was built in 1944 and can be renovated but is currently unlivable at this time.
